Kingsburg Beach - 3 parcels

Marina Spidle and her family donated land adjacent to the Seaside Cemetery, running to Kingsburg Beach. Their intention was to help maintain public access to the Beach. This donation proved to be additionally valuable to the KCC when the Province began considering possible development on the beach - as landowners, the KCC was able to express our concerns that Kingsburg Beach be permanently protected.

Kingsburg Pond to the ocean. In the spring of 2008, the KCC purchased a second tract of land in Kingsburg, which stretches from Kingsburg Pond, across the road, and ends at the protected Kingsburg Beach. The parcel, which includes both wet land and dunes, abuts a similar lot owned by the Province.

In 2009, the KCC obtained another parcel of land in Kingsburg. This small lot, 0.7 acres, was purchased at a municipal auction. The land abuts the old public road which parallels the beach.
